In today’s home tour, photographed by SEN Creative, warm wood tones and traditional touches have been purposefully paired to create a home that leans traditional with nods to craftsman. It’s the perfect expression of Cabana Rehab’s‘ “neutral but never boring” design aesthetic and it’s oh so good. Take a look at how it all came together in the snaps below, but first, let’s take a #shelfie!
From the designer… Our clients came to us after parting ways with a design/build firm that just wasn’t working out. We were able to connect them with one of our preferred architects and collaborated on a completely new layout and a primary bathroom addition. The goal for the home was to create a warm and inviting family environment with plenty of texture with nods to a craftsman style. The home is full of neutral elements with pops of interest in our signature style.
The kitchen has a warm greige paint color that is set off beautifully by a bright white star and cross backsplash tile by Fireclay. We added touches of brown and tan with the furnishings leading from the kitchen barstools to the living room where we have plenty of beautiful #shelfie moments. We mixed white paint and stained white oak cabinetry in the living room and bar areas to add balance and interest with beautiful lighting and furnishings. The two daughter’s rooms play off each other with similar color tones and themes. We especially love the wallpapers in each space!
The primary ensuite is another example of our defining principle of “neutral but never boring.” We wanted a warm and elegant space that wasn’t too modern or traditional but a nice balance of the two. We accomplished that by having marble on the floor, throughout the expansive shower, and behind the gorgeous painted tub. We brought in the same white oak cabinetry for plenty of storage but this time with a flat panel for a modern touch and added a softer edge on the countertop detail for balance. A mix of brass and polished nickel mirrors, plumbing fixtures, and hardware ties the whole space together.
We are so thrilled with how this project all came together and the family is so happy to finally move back into their completed space.
