When close friends become clients, the design process takes on a more personal rhythm—something WYC Designs leaned into for this eclectic transitional new build. This project pushed the studio toward a more modern expression, balancing bold, custom moments with the warmth and character that define their signature style. From WYC Designs… When your best friends find a lot with an opportunity to build, and they make it mandatory that you and your team help them design it, magic can happen. Knowing this family well helped us guide the design process to ensure that we were making a truly custom and tailored design. From slat paneling, intentional niche placements, a full working scullery, and statement lighting, we turned this home into a special place. We chose furniture and window treatments that add a textural layers and brings the whole design together.
This was a slightly different project for us, but in all the best ways. It shows our capabilities in being able to conform to client needs and wishes and still put our own twist on things. Though a bit more modern than our usual take, we still added so much warmth and character to this new build.
The powder room is a statement—with eclectic wallpaper, lighting, and a fun organic mirror, it pays homage to their fun and eccentric lifestyle.
Equipped with a custom vinyl storage bench and bespoke oak desks for their daughter’s loft, we wanted the spaces to feel like them.
