Bringing character back to an old home can be tricky, too much vintage and it’s a blast from the past, too much modern and the space will feel disconnected. Craft Home Staging struck the perfect balance in this home renovation by complementing the character of the home with just the right amount of old and new. Christopher Lee Foto beautifully captured how their eclectic mix breathed new life into this space in the photos below.
From the designer… We were inspired by the mix of original details and modern updates at Carmona Avenue, with the living and dining rooms being the standout moments for us. The original fireplace, barreled ceilings and picture window brought a lot of charm and warmth to the space, while the black modern sconces and pendant provided a strong contrast. We used these elements as inspiration in our furniture and decor choices and went with a neutral color palette with pops of black and lots of greenery. We chose a long, low slip covered sofa to help enhance and not distract from the picture window, two contemporary club chairs with black metal frames, and a vintage wooden console. Mixing new and vintage pieces to mirror the original and updated details of the home was so fun and inspiring and one of our favorite ways to bring a home to life.
