Amazing design can often take time to come together, but when Kristen and Shelbie of Treasure in the Detail were up against the clock, they pulled together this elevated home remodel in record time. With the complete trust of their homeowners, and a skillful touch, they created a modern transitional space this family will enjoy for years to come. From the designer… We started the Black Rock Trail Project a few months after the COVID pandemic began. Our amazing clients were buying their second home in Arizona while living in New York and wanted to be able to fully move in by August. While we were definitely up against a lot of challenges already in place due to COVID and its impacts on the global supply chain and production output, we were successfully able to design and install the majority of the home within three months which is pretty much unheard of now in 2021.

The bones of the home were already absolutely stunning with respect to hardscape features, beautiful vaulted ceilings, and millwork touches. Our design team was hired to drive enhancements to the home to bring a greater elevated look while curating a modern, cohesive style throughout. With a neutral pallet at the forefront, each space was designed with layers of warmth, clean lines, wood elements, and polished yet inviting features.

While each space in the home could be deemed a favorite, we will talk about a couple spaces that really stood out.

The dining room is a fan favorite on Instagram. The vaulted shiplap ceiling and the board and batten woodwork really elevate the space and provide a clean and classic look that will carry through the test of time. The furniture pieces we selected drove a great amount of design interest to the space that helped balance the white elements with the addition of the black and warm features.

Onto the primary bedroom…talk about comfort and elevated design! The ceiling speaks for itself and that light fixture steals the show. Again carrying a similar neutral design into this space, we love the overall serene yet sophisticated appeal this space exudes.

We have been blessed with so many amazing clients along our journey and our Black Rock Trail clients will always hold a special place in our hearts. They trusted us through the entire process which really allowed us to do our best work in a rather rapid timeframe.
