Chelsea Reale and Diana Rice of SISSY+MARLEY Interiors received carte blanch, quite literally, when remodeling this New York City home. Layering tons of white and cream on walls and furnishings and supplementing it with natural textures they achieved a thoroughly modern yet warm abode. Take a peek below to learn more about this gorgeous space.
From the designer… This beautiful home is owned by a couple who live full-time in Mexico City and use this home as their pied-a-terre in NYC when visiting family and friends. The couple bought this home years before deciding to renovate it and make it their own. Living in Mexico City full time while the renovations were going on meant they needed to hire a team that was going to handle all of the details for them from afar – a level of trust that meant it had to be a special team. Having followed SISSY+MARLEY’s work for years, they knew exactly who they wanted to design their NYC home. Giving the team full creative control really helped to keep this project moving quickly during the pandemic when everything seemed to slow down.
There is truly nothing better than having a client love what you do and leaving it in your hands to deliver a beautiful home and one that far exceeds what they envisioned.

Taking this space from dated and dark to an organically dreamy and chic space is what the team at SISSY+MARLEY does best. Beautiful custom millwork, fluted plaster, travertine and bleached oak floors helped to transform this otherwise depressed space into a warm and inviting space the couple and their children look forward to coming back to NY to spend time in.
