If you had the opportunity to start fresh with your abode, what would it look like? That’s just what we’ll see in today’s home tour. Shannon Kate Design was brought aboard this Newport Beach remodel with the task to furnish this space from top to bottom with not a stitch of material from the owners’ previous home. Take the tour to see how a clean slate was transformed into their new home.
From the designer… Our clients had recently moved to Newport Beach from Colorado and were the second owners of this beautiful home. Upon moving here, they did not want to bring one piece of what they previously owned into their new home, so every single furnishing in this home was picked out, designed, and placed by us. When we say every furnishing, we mean everything, from large custom pieces of furniture to home decor accents – even their dinner plates! We had a blank slate with a beautiful foundation to work from, a designer’s dream.
This home was ingrained with its original character and it lead our design direction and furnishing choices. We took inspiration from this space and translated it into a rustic design with modern finishes. The colors and textures we brought into their home were influenced by the incredible views of the coast right outside the back door. This home was a joy to work on and we are thrilled with the way it turned out!
