In a quiet pocket of Northwest London, deVol brings their signature craftsmanship to life in a kitchen that feels both timeless and distinctively feminine. Designed in collaboration with Macfarlane Van der Heul, this Mapesbury space pairs traditional Shaker style with elegant flourishes proving that utility and elegance can coexist beautifully in even the most hardworking spaces.

From deVol… Tucked away in the leafy conservation area of Mapesbury lies a hidden gem, the prettiest, most elegant Shaker kitchen. It’s all about the contrasts in this room, soft and feminine juxtaposed with traditional and hardworking. This approach always creates an uncontrived interior, nothing is too much or not enough. Princelet Pink Shaker cupboards, Arabescato marble and Cream Subway Tiles – it’s not a combination we have seen before, but it works so well, cream simplicity and daring marble, one offsetting the other.
We particularly love the dark wood Dairy Table and antique glazed cupboard, the perfect choice to create a bit of variety and vintage glamour. Topping it all off with a neatly uniform set of Bentwood Café Stools and a deliciously drapey fabric chandelier.

We loved photographing this kitchen, the light and architectural features, as always, make everything look even more beautiful. The final, genius touch, was the purpose-built glazed pantry, lined with slender shelves and pretty fabric, this room was storage and display heaven!
