Balancing beauty with everyday function, this modern coastal home was thoughtfully reimagined to take full advantage of its upper-level views and laid-back flow. Bianca Ecklund Design layered in warm textures, clean lines, and a palette inspired by a bold powder room slab, bringing color and depth to the tranquil interior. From Bianca Ecklund Design…This project’s challenge was the layout of the upper level, which happened to have the best views. This meant that, of course, we needed to make the most of every inch of this space to create a cozy and functional area for our client’s busy lifestyle while also optimizing the views and indoor/outdoor living. We also faced a challenge in the primary bathroom. This space was long and narrow, but we were able to accommodate all the amenities of a luxury bathroom by creating a wet room fully outfitted with gorgeous finishes that immediately draw the eye.
The powder room was a space that we really wanted to stand out. It all started with the strikingly gorgeous slab, and everything else fell into place around it. Truly, I think our color palette all started with the powder room slab. That inspiration carried through the rest of the home—you can see the story unfold as you move through the space!
