It’s hard to put your finger on what exactly makes this home so ebullient, but we’re willing to guess it’s the meticulous blending of preppy Americana and posh Parisian influences. Collected Interiors created a cheerful home for her clients to enjoy day in and day out and we’re excited for you to see it. Take a peek at the beautiful imagery by Nicole Dianne below.

From the designer… A family of five purchased this 1930s home in historic San Matteo Park. It had been updated room-by-room and was left lacking cohesion (it had four different styles of hardwood floors!). They brought in the design team at Collected Interiors to create consistency. Delighted by the challenge, we took inspiration from French Country Tudor exteriors, Parisian details, and preppy Americana for a look that’s truly unique.

It took a significant amount of collaboration across several vendors to get the beautiful curve of the plaster hood just right – and then inlaid with rift white oak. I am also obsessed with the entry, and the applied moulding – and love that applied moulding is having its moment in the sun. Executing it requires a lot of planning and math – but when the finish nails are hidden and the walls are painted – there is nothing prettier.

One of the most difficult parts of supporting clients during 2022 builds, is that most of their budgets had been set before inflation took off. This required us to think creatively about how to deliver on the vision – while making some concessions along the way. We delivered on the client’s dream – and seeing her and her family happy really is what it is all about.
