In the heart of Sacramento, Miche Victoria Interior Design reimagined a classic ranch-style home, marrying its original charm with modern sophistication. By focusing on practical updates and timeless beauty, Miche transformed the space into a refined, welcoming haven that perfectly fits the needs of a growing family. From the designer… This single-story Classic Ranch style home had great bones with its open floor plan, large windows looking out to their stunning backyard, and a simple and functional layout, but desperately needed some updates. Our clients wanted the emphasis on practicality and timeless beauty, so the result seamlessly integrates traditional ranch style elements with timeless finishes to create a relaxed and welcoming space. The attention to details resulted in a crafted home tailored to the needs and aspirations of the young family dwelling within.

The open floor plan between the kitchen and family room, creates the perfect welcoming space for family gatherings. Tongue and groove paneling details were carefully carried throughout the home, including the shaker v-groove style cabinets in the beautiful off-white kitchen cabinets. A large wood stained island can accommodate large parties and provide extra functionality with storage in all sides of the island. The plastered hood surround creates movement and layers along with the simple veining of the quartz counter top and backsplash. The design elements and finishes chosen for this kitchen offer a balance of neutrality and elegance. The use of subtle tones, clean lines, and refined materials creates a timeless color palette that ensures versatility while creating a kitchen that feels both modern and classic, making it a perfect setting for any occasion.

The living room, surrounded by its original paneling on walls and ceilings, received a fresh coat of paint and new stained tongue and groove paneling were added to the fireplace wall to create warmth within the space. The asymmetric design incorporates a built-in bookshelf where a beautiful collection of accessories is displayed. The pre-cast fireplace mantel adds texture in contrast to the smooth finish of the paneled walls and ceiling. A stunning tapestry by Laurel-Dawn Latshaw is displayed to the right of the fireplace complementing the large windows overlooking the backyard – this room is full of natural light, enhancing the home’s warmth and openness. The powder room, right outside of the living room area, exudes drama and elegance with the rich hue added to the high wainscoting, a Kelly Ventura floral wallpaper and a stunning hand-selected custom marble vanity.
