With areas designated for rest, gatherings, and nutritious eating, this Wellington barn has undergone a luxurious zen makeover. HW Interiors has created the ultimate adult oasis for relaxation and play and we cannot wait for you to see it. From the designer… Our client, an avid equestrian, who came to Wellington looking for a tranquil respite from her NY and Palm Beach homes. She purchased this gorgeous property in the exclusive equestrian community of Palm Beach Point and hired us to help transform one-third of the existing barn on the property into a personal retreat: a Bali inspired flex space that can accommodate everything from morning meditation to late night gatherings with friends. The landscape of the property was so beautiful that we felt we should bring the outdoors in wherever possible utilizing elegant Fleetwood doors and windows.

From the moment you open the custom pecky cypress front doors and step into the entry you are greeted with long views of rich bamboo ceiling treatment and expansive spaces. Two gorgeous living walls flank the yoga room, which is simply outfitted with bespoke barn doors with inlaid brass detail, hand carved custom consoles and the custom hand beaded chandelier from Africa for maximum zen.

The lounge and bar set the mood for a different scene. The custom pool table in bleached oak is the perfect backdrop for the hand blown glass and brass Hollis and Morris light fixture which sets the mood for the nighttime get togethers around the two massive waterfalled marble islands outfitted with a stunning matte black Waterstone faucet and 12 gorgeous walnut and leather Thomas Hayes barstools.

Our client is also a health and wellness fanatic, so we designed this custom far infrared sauna that sits in the bright and airy gym. Just inside the gym is a principal bath with his and hers teak vanities trimmed out with matte black Watermark fixtures and a luxurious microcement finish on all the walls in lieu of tile to keep the mood subtle and peaceful. The large picture window over the tub overlooks the serene detoxifying cold plunge pool and imported Indonesian buddha fountain surrounded by lush landscaping.

There are various outdoor seating options to enjoy with a glass of wine, such as the Dedon hanging chair that has room for several to lounge, and the pergola with Gan outdoor bed and cushions in a fun mix of patterns. The entire project was a complete transformation from a utilitarian barn to a magical adult retreat and was a pleasure to design and bring to life.
