We love seeing a deep wood tone in this light, neutral home. The contrast created brings drama and a bit of excitement to the overall relaxed vibe of this home. See more of the beautiful work by Jamie Gernert of WYC Designs in the tour below.
From the designer…The #BrilliantonBorder project was a fun one because it’s for a young family who loves to have friends and family over and to entertain. They wanted a beautiful timeless kitchen and ample space to enjoy meals whether at the island, dining room or out by their summer kitchen. With a beautiful walk-in pantry and massive wine storage wall, we were able to really make the kitchen shine with architectural details like reeded cabinetry, a hutch inspired upper cabinet, and the prettiest French range.
Layered in soft whites and warm oak tones, the main living room has custom built-ins with mesh details and elements of unlacquered brass. Overall the home has warmth and an elevated tone that is family-friendly and highly functional for their everyday life.
The primary suite is an oasis with soothing and calming textures, colors and tones that make it all feel spa-like.
The laundry was a fun space to design because we wanted it to be playful and pretty – in a beautiful green with brass and checkerboard flooring we made sure it had space for hanging clothes, a roller hamper with clothes chute and even a spot for dog water.
