From the designer… We were brought into the process early on for this project and helped bridge the gap between the homeowners and their custom home builder. It was the ideal scenario for us to be pulled into the design process early. This allowed us to create a cohesive design starting with the finishes and fixtures and have it carry seamlessly into the room design and furnishings selections. We wanted to ensure each space felt layered and warm but with interesting splashes of color and pattern.
Our clients were making a huge life transition while building this home, as they were packing up their life in the bay area to move across the country to the Washington, DC, metro area. We wanted to help them as much as possible with the transition by providing them with a beautiful and comfortable home to settle into. This is evident even in the primary bedroom design. Our goal was to create a calm & serene retreat for our clients where they could unwind and let go of the stresses of the day. Our clients are also a young family with three children under the age of five, so we wanted to create an environment that was stylish, sophisticated, yet child friendly and durable for them.
