Surprise features are quite possibly the best kind. What do I mean by surprise feature? Well, it’s when one talented creative submits a project on behalf of another, under the radar. When Anastasia of The Identité Collective and IDCO Studio reached out to introduce us to Andrea of Britt Design Studio—we knew she had something magical up her sleeve. The pair have been working on a gorgeous site launch that is now live today(!) and it’s a beauty. Please join us in congratulating Andrea on the new home for Britt Design Studio, welcoming her to The List, and then dive into this bright and fresh classic colonial transformation captured by Raquel Langworthy, below.
From Anastasia Casey of The Identité Collective… It has been such an honor working with Andrea on Britt Design Studio’s new branding, web design, marketing materials and now helping to craft her Instagram messaging—she is fearless, charming, so eloquent, and so confident in her design style. I love Andrea’s ability to take a historic home and make it feel totally current through rich layers and subtle patterns. I knew the moment I opened her portfolio, I’d want to surprise her on launch day with a press feature, and HAVEN was the top of my list.
From Britt Design Studio about this home tour… We helped this young family transform a classic colonial with great potential to a home with great functionality. The changes in flow and appearance were significant, even though we only added 400 square feet of usable space. Expanding the family room was a top priority for this family that loves to hang out together and entertain friends. We also enlarged the kitchen and added a breakfast area, mudroom, bathroom, patio, and butler’s pantry + bar built custom for the husband, the resident dinner party bartender.
