This Spanish home—in a beautiful pocket of Los Angeles—was brimming with potential character just waiting to be revealed. “We were brought in to reimagine this home into a contemporary bungalow that would be a beautiful place to enjoy gathering and entertaining,” the team at Maverick Design explains.
With a fervent excitement to transform homes with vintage charm, the designers set out to make this one shine with their own modern vision. “The previous floor plan had been altered from its original layout and was incredibly compartmentalized. We were able to come in and streamline the layout by opening up the floor plan to create a stunning great room feel, connecting the living, dining, and kitchen spaces.”
The bathrooms also needed a full update. Maverick Design adds, “Our team reconfigured both spaces to make them much more usable, using eclectic finishes to add character. Throughout the home, our design team created a palette of rich materials, finishes, and textures that would give depth to the home and transform the dated residence into something bright, bold, and new. We selected furniture and décor that would give the home a modern, bohemian vibe while still feeling invitingly livable. The end result was a gorgeous Spanish bungalow perfect for California living!”
