Audrey Scheck Design transformed this Austin residence into a bright, layered home where natural materials and vintage touches create a welcoming, lived-in feel. Captured by Cate Black Photography the design subtly weaves in Western influences and antique pieces that reflect the homeowners’ story.

From Audrey Scheck Design… Our clients purchased this home with an appreciation for its original character and timeless architecture. We were brought in to help honor that heritage while adding warmth, texture, and personality through styling, paint selections, and soft finishes. The goal was to create a space that felt refreshed and lived-in without losing its sense of history.

With an abundance of natural light and beautiful materials like stone and wood, we leaned into grounding tones and layered textures to bring balance and depth. Vintage accents and thoughtful styling choices added soul and softness, enhancing the home’s natural beauty rather than competing with it.

Throughout the design, subtle Western influences and a nod to Texas charm guided our selections, from antique furnishings to collected details that tell a story. The finished home feels bright yet grounded, timeless yet full of character, staying true to its roots while reflecting the personality of the people who now call it home.
