This Santa Barbara bungalow was given new life by Rebecca Hepburn Design, who brought together Scandinavian-inspired lines and Californian warmth. With open sightlines, natural textures, and an airy palette, the bungalow channels comfort through a contemporary lens. The home was beautifully photographed by Shelby Bourne in the tour below.

From Rebecca Hepburn Design… This project was a low lying bungalow, typical to the neighbourhood with a beautiful orchard on the property with plenty of fruit trees for the picking. It was in a great need of a renovation to bring it back to life and give it a new sense of style and design. We opened up the floorplan to allow for better flow for the young family living in the home. We wanted to take advantage of the quarter acre property and its 180 views by enabling an indoor outdoor living style. The palette is clean and contemporary with a unique selection of tile materials, natural stone and oak to bring warmth. The clients really let us run with the furniture and decor to add all of the final touches and layer in texture.
