From Moose Interior Designs… We recently completed a full-scale renovation of a stunning 10,000-square-foot home in Spring Lake, New Jersey—a project that was as rewarding as it was transformative. The goal was to reimagine the space to better suit a growing family’s lifestyle, especially for summer living down the shore. With a family of seven and the promise of future grandchildren and frequent guests, every design decision was made with both function and warmth in mind.
A major focus of the renovation was expanding the kitchen to serve as the heart of the home, seamlessly integrating it with adjacent living and dining spaces for effortless entertaining and everyday connection. We also added a highly functional mudroom, ideal for beach days and busy family life, and reconfigured the overall layout to maximize natural light and create a more intuitive flow throughout the home.
From the initial design concept to the final styling touches, we handled every detail—selecting floor stains, customizing cabinetry, designing lighting plans, and curating furnishings that reflect both timeless elegance and relaxed coastal comfort. The transformation from the original layout to the finished home was dramatic, and seeing the space come to life for this family was truly one of the most fulfilling parts of the process.
