With a vision to warm up a stark white builder-grade home, DAMA Interiors brought texture, character, and a sense of story to this family retreat in Utah’s Victory Ranch community. Captured by Shelby Bourne, the transformation blends modern mountain sensibilities with rich, rustic nods to Ralph Lauren style. The result is a space that’s as refined as it is family-friendly, layered with vintage finds and designed to encourage adventure.

From DAMA Interiors… This home began, frankly, as a somewhat cold, white “builder box.” It had amazing scale, stunning views, and good bones, but it needed reimagining with warmth, texture, layers, and personality. Purchased as a vacation and adventure home, it needed to be suitable for an active family and ideal for hosting both adults and children, while remaining comfortable and durable. We created a plan for a modern mountain–meets–Ralph Lauren–inspired space, nodding to the adventure and ski context while blending seamlessly with the modern architecture and avoiding any hint of kitsch.

Our team oversaw all post-build changes and additions to the home. Being in a remote location was the greatest challenge—vendors and installers were limited, and operated more casually and slowly than they were accustomed to. With a lot of communication and diligence, we worked through it.

Our favorite room in the home is the library. Previously, the space was a very awkward loft, carpeted in high-pile gray polyester, with black roller shades and plain walls. We transformed it into an oak-clad library, complete with a custom poker table, photography, and objets—perfect for late-night games and even homework sessions for the kids.
