In a meticulously restored 19th-century schoolhouse in Caledon Village, Ontario, Thorpe Concepts was tasked with designing a kitchen that felt effortlessly integrated into their client’s completed architectural updates. With curved forms, soft lines, and quietly elegant details, the cabinetry was crafted to feel as though it had always belonged—an exercise in restraint, history, and timeless design. The space was beautifully captured by Young Glass Photography in the tour below.

From Thorpe Concepts…This home was an old schoolhouse in the 1800’s. Our goal was to ensure the cabinetry was thoughtful and timeless, making the whole space feel like it’s always been this way. The hope was to evoke the quiet charm of an English schoolhouse; open, airy, and grounded in intention.
