Surrounded by blooming jasmine and roses, this hidden guest cottage is a study in soft sophistication. Designed by Along Came Lennox and photographed by Meghan Caudill, this Sonoma guest house was reimagined as both a serene home office and a welcoming retreat for Wine Country guests. Guided by a feminine vision from the very first material selections, the result is as refined as it is personal.

From Along Came Lennox… This classic guest cottage sits within rose bushes and jasmine flowers, set back behind a main home on a quiet street in downtown Sonoma. The homeowners wanted a restful retreat for both a ‘her home office’ and for occasional guests visiting Wine Country. Leading the design on both the full renovation and furnishings, the Jasmine Cottage was guided with a ‘feminine touch’ as the first two design picks were the soft floral wallpaper and Taj Mahal quartzite counters. This client was a dream to work with, as she had a clear vision of creating a warm and feminine space, while also being open to bringing in warm leathers, wood scallop details and a floral wallpaper that had a hit of gold!

“We wanted this one-room studio to have unique areas for relaxing with a glass of wine with girlfriends, sitting with a cup of tea in the morning, and a space to work with a gorgeous view of the inner flowering courtyard!”
