In this Mission Viejo home, La Casa Azul Design‘s goal was to embody the essence of the client’s dream home, blending modernity with their love of laidback Cali vibes. With careful attention to detail, clean lines, and a touch of blue, their forever home became a timeless sanctuary, where every element tells a story of comfort and easy California living.
From the designer… The concept for this project was to create all the things the client loves in their forever home. Whether it be brunching at Las Brisas in Laguna Beach, hanging by the pool, or spending time with family and friends. We took their wish list of ideas they wanted to incorporate to create a contemporary light and bright home. Careful attention to clean lines, scale, and simple luxury were used for the modern take on their adobe fireplace in the living room.
In their kitchen, character and interest were added with custom arches and hand-painted Spanish clay tiles. We continued that look into the game room and beverage center. We used the client’s love of blue in multiple places, from the deep rich navy of the kitchen cabinets to the blue and white backgammon tiles in the bathroom and the furniture. We mixed several hues of blue which the clients loved so much to create a home that classic, timeless, and simple luxury.
As you enter you are greeted with limestone in the two-story foyer. As you look up to a simple black iron chandelier leading your eye to a lovely spiral staircase.
