From the photographer… I had worked with Reckon House Staples a few times before photographing this project and it has been a great partnership. When they wanted to photograph their personal home I was excited! It is a beautiful custom home and you can tell with every detail. We photographed all the main areas of the home – kitchen, dining, living, bar, and entry in half a day. It went smoothly and the weather and light were perfect.
The home has gorgeous large windows on the front and back with lots of natural light. I brought a silk cover for windows but ended up not having to use it because it was a perfectly light cloudy day! We did not struggle with direct light at all. It really could not have been more perfect for a photographer. The home is out in rural Texas and Reckon House Staples did an amazing job designing a country Texas home with stone, reclaimed wood, cacti, family heirlooms, and modern touches. It took a few weeks to edit but the designer and I were both so happy with how the final product turned out!
