A conventional breakfast nook took on the appearance of a Spanish cafe creating a laid back ambiance in a commonly busy and well used space. See how the rest of their renovations encourage cozy family living the tour below.
From the designer… Courtney Heaton and Laura Ulam of Heaton + Williams were brought in when their client, a former tech executive in the San Francisco Bay Area finally found her (almost) perfect home. The home had great bones, but the homeowner wanted a more modern look and feel. The design duo got to work planning how they would bring in some cool, modern touches while still keeping the home classic.
The renovation included expanding the kitchen and family room by several feet, remodeling the bathrooms, garage, and kitchen, and adding new lighting and windows throughout the house. Their client wanted to keep everything clean, modern, and neutral, layered with tones and textures. In the end, they created a classic modern feel while making the house a cozy home for the family.
