With just one peek at the photos by Ellie Koleen Photography you will notice that this home appears to be glowing. Light streams into this gorgeous abode thanks to Hayley Chavez of HLC Studio, who added myriad architectural details, such as supplemental windows, to this full home renovation. Arched doorways, contrasting tones, and a whole new floor plan turned this space into a home full of functional character. Bask in the glow of this gorgeous home in the photos below.
From the designer… Our clients love their neighborhood full of older homes with beautiful, mature landscaping. However, their home was lacking function and character. We wanted to give it both and also turn it into their dream home!
We came up with an English-inspired design full of arches, a dine-in kitchen feel, warm contrasting tones, and a full new layout. The home had many duplicate rooms (two living rooms, three dining areas) that we reworked to give them a large kitchen, mudroom, butler’s pantry, and their dream pantry!
The home also had no natural lighting. We added windows, painted the walls, and removed all of the interior shutters. The home now feels light and airy, but also cozy and inviting with the pops of dark cabinetry and doors throughout. We absolutely love how it turned out!
