From the designer… This home is one of our first photographed virtual design projects! When this family initially reached out, they had just moved into their home and wanted to start on a few different rooms and projects throughout the house. We decided to do it in phases and start with this room to set the tone for the rest of the house. Typically, I don’t get to visit every virtual design project, but was able to walk through this one in particular and visualize how this space and the rest of the home could cohesively come together.

We had an idea of the layout we wanted in this room… while we were beginning to design that out, I found this coffee table. It was the first thing we fell in love with. I spend so much of my free time looking for unique, one-of-a-kind pieces so that each clients’ home is entirely unique to them. So we sort of designed this room around that. It has so many beautiful details that we didn’t want to distract from it. The modern slip-covered sofas with a bold striped rug all worked together to bring a tonal, modern feel that still felt true to the Spanish-style home.

JZ Interiors believes first and foremost that home is a feeling, and it’s our goal to help infuse that into every inch of our clients’ spaces. We specialize in designing the kind of home you can feel and believe that the real elevation of a home happens in the fine details. I love how we took what would normally be a formal living space and breathed that life into it. We designed this room with the intention of it being where our clients would want to drink their morning cup of coffee, open the doors into the terracotta patio, overlooking the luscious yard on a warmer day, or where they can wind down with a book by the fireplace in the evenings and we are happy that it does all of that and more!
