But how to achieve that perfectly curated mix of pillows that pops but doesn’t clash? Bria shares her top tips below, as well as some of her favorite new prints for the summer season and beyond.
Pattern
Mixing florals with stripes and geometric prints is our rule of thumb! Also, keep the pattern scale in mind too—it’s good to mix small and large scale patterns together.
Color
We love to mix warm and cool tones to keep the pillow combinations timeless and classic. Additionally, we always try to mix pillows that have a solid background with ones that have a white background so that the overall look feels light and fresh.
Size
Be sure to include a variety of pillow sizes— lumbar and square. This is key to a fresh yet cohesive look.
Quantity
We’re fans of selecting pillow combinations in odd groupings. Our go-to sofa look typically includes two pairs plus one lumbar.
