From Salt Design Company… While we were only signed on for the phase two aspects of this new build project, we were lucky enough to be involved from the beginning to weigh in on the essential finishes and architectural elements of the home. Our client was a dream—she provided direction on her style, yet gave us free rein for our vision. We placed an emphasis on traditional timelessness while introducing fun color and pattern. We aimed for family-friendly, inviting spaces with elegance grounded in natural elements.

The vision for the pink room started as a way to reintegrate the client’s pair of vibrant floral print chairs; however, it quickly took a life of its own when we were given the OK to use the chairs elsewhere in the home. We still wanted to lean into something bolder for this lounge space, so we opted for a slipcovered sofa in a more subdued floral print. The room quickly became one of our favorite spaces in the home. The dramatic color drenching packs a punch but transitions beautifully with the rest of the first floor.
