From Marianne Jones Interior Design… When two families became one, this sunlit California retreat was ready for a new chapter. Originally designed over a decade ago, the home needed to evolve—gently but intentionally—to reflect the layered, dynamic spirit of its newly blended residents. We embraced organic textures and grounded materials to soften and expand the home’s emotional depth. Hand-troweled tadelakt walls, relaxed linen and wool upholstery, and easy, welcoming furnishings invite lingering and connection.
Local artists and artisans added soulful punctuation to each space, while the primary bedroom became a deeply personal escape—serene, quiet, and unmistakably theirs.
Though they travel often, our clients wanted a place that always felt like home. This project is just that: a soft landing and a warm welcome, no matter how far the journey.
