In many home tours, we often hear about walls being removed to create open floor plans. For this floorplan, designed by Audrey Scheck, walls were put up to create new and functional spaces. The result is an effective layout that is second only to the contemporary transitional aesthetic woven throughout the newly designed abode. Take a peek at the photos below to see how it all came together!
From the designer… Audrey Scheck Design was hired to reimagine the footprint of the home to create a second home office, along with refreshing the client’s kitchen, fireplace, and powder bath. The team enclosed the formal dining room to create an additional office with custom built-ins framing the window. In the living room, the fireplace was completely reimagined and modernized by adding a quartz surround and a new mantle beam. Additionally, a kitchen wall was enclosed to create a butler’s pantry. Custom floor-to-ceiling cabinets in the kitchen, along with all new backsplash, hardware, and lighting, were the finishing touches on this refresh.
