This past year, LH.Designs was chosen as one of eight design firms to be part of House Beautiful’s 2021 Whole Home Project. What began as a simple patio design became a full-scale outdoor experience as Linda decided to take on the entirety of this 5,700 square foot home’s outdoor space! With a vibe that embraces breezy California living and every amenity you could possibly ask for, it’s no wonder this Fredericksburg, Texas abode was sold before it was even completed. Lauren Pressey captured the sprawling outdoor space in the tour below.

From the designer… We were tasked with the patio area, initially, but we wanted to truly show what outdoor living could be like, so we told the House Beautiful Team that we’ll do the entire backyard and exterior of the home. We added to the patio by re-designing the layout of the BBQ, added a built-in dining area, two game spaces, changed the configuration of the pool, designed the powder room that led to the outside, created an outdoor pool shower, incorporated a firepit and picked out all the exterior materials of the home in the front and back including the roofing.

Once we designed the spaces and picked out the hard materials, we worked with great vendors in picking out appliances, lighting, fixtures, furniture, planters, landscaping, paints, wallpaper and accessories. LH.Designs also got to design custom pieces such as the pool table and inlay grill for the upper cabinet over the outdoor sink. We made sure to show how Cali living truly can be in Texas by making a true outdoor lifestyle. We created an entire home outside for the new homeowners to enjoy.
