Those who know me well, know that the kitchen is my favorite room in any house. It’s without question, the heart of a home—and particularly so as we head into the holiday season. When I spotted this one from Liz Hackett Interiors, I was instantly transported to a buzzing Thanksgiving day scene with family members clinking glasses of wine as they roast the turkey and bake apple pie. Duo sinks make for easy cleanup, a pull-up island begs for guests to keep the chefs company (without getting in the way) and it all opens right up to the approachable dining space lit up by rustic, moody pendants. Thanksgiving perfection, right? Take a peek at the images from Chelsea Lane, I think you’ll agree!
From Liz Hackett Interiors… This home was a custom new construction in Asheville, NC. I collaborated with my husband, Kevin who owns Longview Builders and our client to create a clean, fresh and functional home that has a comfortable and approachable vibe. The kitchen features white shaker style cabinetry, honed granite countertops, a farmhouse sink, reclaimed beams and wide plank flooring. The kitchen is perfect for entertaining and relaxed living. Industrial style lighting and rustic furniture blend together for a great balance. We featured this house in the 2017 Asheville Parade of Homes.
