From the brand designer… Melanie Hay Design is a leading Toronto-based residential interior design firm offering comprehensive services, from renovations to new construction, full furnishings, and exquisite interior styling. In the past few years, Melanie’s business and design style evolved, prompting her to reach out to Tia at Duelle Made in January 2023. Her goals for seeking branding services were to elevate her online and offline presence and distinguish herself from other designers in the industry. With those in mind, Duelle Made set out to create a perfectly aligned brand identity and digital home that Melanie felt proud of. Particularly, a brand experience that would captivate high-value clients and act as a true extension of the signature style she was quickly becoming known for.

Melanie’s approach to design goes beyond creating visually stunning spaces – she curates well-designed interiors that feel inherent to their environment and inhabitants. The primary logo serves as a visual representation of her design philosophy. It features a timeless serif typeface with unexpected customizations, mirroring the intentional layers within her work. A submark suite was designed for brand consistency across various touchpoints. This included a custom “MH” monogram and brand tagline for smaller space applications, marketing materials, and title blocks.
