Maeve Design Collective breathed new life into a Scottsdale kitchen, crafting a space that seamlessly blends minimalist elegance with functionality. A hidden pantry adds a bit of whimsy to this transitional space while exquisite finishes add a luxurious grace. You can read the full story and tour the home below.

From the designer… Ohhhh boy, did this remodel have a transformation that would stop you in your tracks! We feel like remodels get a bad rap in the design community, but we love the challenge of adapting existing features while tailoring them toward a new family’s wants and needs. It’s absolutely a rewarding experience, despite the unexpected set backs and a few “aw hah” moments. It just makes this project a little bit sweeter.

The kitchen in this home is small yet mighty. With a smaller footprint, we wanted to ensure the space was visually minimalistic with subtle design elements, such as the drool-worthy ogee marble backsplash, with functionality being a priority. With a clean aesthetic and functionality at the forefront of our minds, we had a bit of fun with the concealed door into the butler’s pantry, rather than a conventional passage way that posed the opportunity for visual and let’s face it, actual clutter.

With the hidden pantry, this home has the potential to maximize storage for all of the Costco shoppers out there! Not only are there additional appliances installed here, but there is also ample drawer storage for snacks, vegetables, and large countertop appliances. Not shown, there are also rows and rows of shelves for anything your heart desires.

Another gorgeous moment is in the Powder Room. We were so drawn to dark Roman Clay walls and ended up with this deep espresso brown (Forest Floor by Portola Paints). We knew a marble integrated sink was the next obvious choice and pairing it with nickel or an oil-rubbed bronze plumbing, just didn’t feel right. So we landed on this beautiful handcrafted unlacquered brass finish that will only add more life to the space as time goes on. The dainty light and feminine mirror just add the cherry on top to this dreamy destination.
