Malissa Mabey is an architectural and interior photographer based in Salt Lake City. She is known for her artistic and moody work that feels deeply poetic- like it’s telling a story. Drawing on the principles of multiple forms of design and art, from renaissance paintings to brutalist architecture, Malissa aims to capture the story of the spaces she photographs. Her work is both inviting and serene, oftentimes giving you the feeling that the inhabitants of a room have just stepped out of the frame for a moment. Her process is highly collaborative with the designer’s vision is realized. The common thread through everything she does is the subtle tones of natural light and shadow.
