This kitchen remodel by JM Foundarie strikes just the right balance of modern amenities and vintage nostalgia. Ample storage provides enough room for a twenty-first-century chef’s gadgets while a diamond zellige backsplash transports you to your coziest memory. The incredible Raquel Langworthy captured the magic in the mini-tour below!
From the designer… In this remodel, we were able to double the amount of kitchen space for our clients and increase the storage space exponentially. We began by removing a wall to open up the space and incorporate one of our client’s major wish list items, a kitchen island. This addition created seating options in addition to the built-in breakfast nook with even more storage below the banquette. We updated the existing finishes with fresh, neutral tones on the cabinets and a pop of contrast on the island, island fixtures, and handmade zellige tile backsplash. We added warmth and interest with vintage accessories, including cutting boards, pillows, and art.
