An all-black house exterior has never looked so good. This Atlanta home sets the tone from the outside and does not disappoint when it comes to the inside. Krywicki Interior Design used deep blues on the kitchen cabinets and adorned the den in similar tones to create a moody space that feels modern and welcoming. This East Atlanta bungalow, home to a family with two kids, underwent an extreme transformation. Jamie of Krywicki Design began by completely removing the roof, gutting the interior of the house, and adding a second floor. She carried the moody exterior (all black) to the inside of the home, opting for a deep blue and wood-tone kitchen with warm white quartz for the countertop and backsplash. The homeowner, who owns a furniture business, was deeply involved and created the walnut vent hood designed by Jamie herself. For finishing touches, she added mid-century and modern furniture accented with art and family heirlooms passed down through the homeowners’ families.
