The Home Industry's Top Experts & Creatives

The Haven Workshop is for interior designers and home industry creatives who want to take control of their business strategy. Whether you're just starting out or are well-established, this experience will take your business to the next level.

As the days grow cooler and we start to add layers into our style (hello, sweaters! we missed you so.), our homes deserve a little cozying up too—especially the bedroom. This one, designed by Ryan Street & Associates and Elizabeth Stanley, has all of the right ingredients for the ultimate snug-factor and we’re breaking down exactly how…

1. Layered Rugs

Nothing makes a bedroom feel more cozy than layering rugs. Start with a larger neutral base on the bottom and top with a patterned rug or vintage beauty like this one.

2. Upholstered Bed

Bring warmth and texture to your bedroom retreat with a bed that boasts a beautiful fabric… from tufted linen to cotton canvas to luxe velvet. Tip: tuck in your bedding for an extra tidy and snug look and simply layer an extra comforter at the foot.

3. Pillow Talk

Cozy comes in all forms of layering, especially pillows. Stack 2-3 rows of pillows in varying sizes, textures and colors. We love the addition of velvet anytime of year but even more so during the cooler months.

4. Light it Up

A chandy in the bedroom? Why not! We’re loving the combo of this artful chandelier and bedside sconces that provide just the right amount of glow for serenity.
