A few weeks back on Instagram stories, we asked how you prep for the week on Sundays. Because as much as weekends are meant for well-deserved R&R, we all know those Monday feels start to creep in on Sunday afternoon and there’s nothing worse than starting a week off feeling unorganized and unprepared! So, inspired by some of your own Sunday prep tips, here are some ways to get ready for the week ahead so you can face Monday as your best self.
1. Week in Preview
Often times, we hear ‘week in review’… but giving each week ahead a pre-view is just as important, if not more! Even setting aside 10-20 minutes to glance at your planner, schedule out social media* (if you’re a business owner) or simply recognize top priority to dos that week is so, so helpful. This doesn’t mean you need to dive into emails (save that for Monday!), but setting some goals for the week is always a good idea.
*Planoly is a great little app for scheduling out social media!

2. Sunday Self Care
Every Sunday, I like to indulge in a spa night—I do my favorite mask, apply under-eye masks and lip scrub. Setting aside time for self care should be a priority in my opinion. Indulge in whatever kind of pampering you enjoy most, or set aside some time to meditate, exercise, get a massage, etc. After a few weeks of incorporating self care into your routine, you’ll really start to notice a difference and a more positive attitude heading into Monday.

3. Fresh Laundry & Linens
If any day of the week deserves fresh sheets and allll the laundry clean, folded and put away—it’s Monday for sure. @laurenmarttilaphotography has the right idea!

4. Curate Your Closet
Take it from @livinginthelovely below—planning daily outfits just makes mornings that much easier. It can be as easy as setting aside a section of your closet for Monday–Friday hangers, or if you want to go next level planning, try an app like Smart Closet.

5. Meal Plan
Is there anything more stressful than not knowing what you’re having for dinner (and it’s 4:55pm)?! Meal planning is a practice that has made my life infinitely easier. When I start to slip with it, my weeks instantly become more stressful, rushed and dinner feels like a chore rather than a beautiful experience with my family, which is exactly what it should be. Taking a bit of time to plan and prep makes for a much smoother week ahead.
