When my husband and I purchased our home, we felt like we won the lottery because it came with a pool and a little pool house (something not on our priority list, but sooo nice to have!). So, when he’s getting on my nerves, I jokingly tell him he’ll be sleeping in the pool house. Well, ours is cute but it looks nothing like this one, which I’m sure he’d happily retreat to if he was in the doghouse, ha! Designed by the amazing team at STUDIO LIFE/STYLE, it comes complete with everything you can think of—a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom/shower that you can access from outside, living room, lounge area… I mean, this is a legit house. Because we’re edging on the hottest August on record and we’re heading into a long holiday weekend, a pool house tour felt quite fitting. Let’s dive into these beautiful images from the very talented Stephen Busken.
And psst… stay tuned next Tuesday for our Haven Maven interview with STUDIO LIFE/STYLE, it’s going to be good! Until then, you can learn more about SLS on The List!

From STUDIO LIFE/STYLE… A formerly bicoastal family decided to finally settle down in Brentwood and hired STUDIO LIFE.STYLE to collaborate on the design of a pool house for their property that encouraged them to be outside as much as possible. The pool house is equipped with several spaces that are extremely versatile and blur the lines between indoors and outdoors. The kitchen includes a window that opens up to a bar counter and stools outside, making it easy for the homeowners to serve and enjoy drinks with guests in the outdoor lounge area. The bathroom was designed to be used as an indoor / outdoor shower with access to the shower from both sides so that swimmers and people using the pool could rinse off without tracking wet feet through the main house. Especially when located in an area with prime weather like California, the airy, indoor/outdoor design of the pool house ensures that they are fully living into the California lifestyle.
